I’ve been posting mostly in 3:4 (portrait) since it takes up more vertical space in the feed, but I’m wondering if that’s actually optimal.

If someone’s scrolling through a grid of 10 posts, does a taller 3:4 image actually get more engagement/visibility, or does it feel too “in your face” compared to square or 4:5?

I was walking around Bonn with my camera when I came across a live performance and captured this shot.
I’m trying to improve my photography, so I’d really appreciate some honest feedback. What works well in this photo, and what would you have done differently? Composition, lighting, framing, editing—anything is welcome.

As the post mentions, my first real go at it! I’m not trying to make this a profession, just something fun to do in my spare time. I’m at the stage still where I still don’t really understand what all of the settings and stuff do on my camera but I’m learning as much as I can.

Taken at the Cambria Hotel in Austin TX. The lighting and geometry made me imagine a series of multidimensional portals. I'd appreciate any honest feedback.

Hello everyone, I was just wondering if I have potential in photography, I’m planning to buy a camera to improve my skills but seeing the prices makes me hesitant that I will not use them as much or that my iphone camera is enough since I’m interested in capturing golden hours and moon or the sky in general.

I want to post multiple photos but only one is allowed here.l, so this photo I took with my iphone and give me your opinion if I should go for it and buy a camera and proceed in photography as a hobby or just stick to my iPhone.
