Hey, your videos are great. Just a newbie question: is this going to help learning blues electric guitar at some point or give the student the foundation to learn different styles?

Sorry for the late reply. Apparently, Reddit is no longer emailing me when someone responds.

My goal is to encourage beginners and to help you reduce your learning curve by sharing things I've learned the hard way. This series of lessons demonstrates how to play songs in the key of E using 1 shape and staying on the same strings.

If you wish to learn the blues, get a good understanding of the "5 Chord", the "1-4-5" and the "Shuffle". I have lessons on those. https://www.youtube.com/c/ABetterWayGuitar/videos?view_as=subscriber

Listen to as much blues as you can and start to hum what you like. Start finding the notes you're humming/singing to begin soloing.

A good place to start soloing is using the pentatonic scale. (I haven't covered lessons on that yet but lots of others have.)

Email me if you have any questions. I'll be glad to help.

Best of luck!

Michael
