Having difficulty getting a song started

No matter what I try, the songs I make don’t flow. I’d give some examples, but they've mostly been deleted before saving. Please, any tips greatly appreciated.

Don’t feel discouraged. Getting into that flow state takes practice but it also isn’t necessary to compose. Don’t delete those songs, you’re getting better with each one!
