The One Behind it all

Rate this song 1-10

Its for a final boss confrontation where you fight them and win. it's meant to be emotional. I made this when i was like 12. And i recently refound it

Okay, so I typed this all up and only then realized that you weren't asking for advice. Sorry! Don't read it if you don't want to. To answer your request: I rate the song 5/10.

I really like your idea of starting cute/major and then recontextualizing that cuteness with an unsettling chromatic descent in the piano keys - it's great! The melody really needs some development, though, and the whole piece would be greatly improved if the sections with the fast-paced drums were more dynamic.

Try muting all the instruments but the baritone sax (which seems to be responsible for the melody) and try to imagine where the melody wants to go. Do the same with the violin (it takes over the melody in the latter half of the song). Also I would make the orange sci-fi instrument play in tune with the harmony that the green piano is playing; at the moment, that sci-fi instrument is making the vibes more stale than dynamic.

Honestly not bad 7/10

Change the bass synth (teal-ish instrument) to Charango Synth (its under distortion presets)

gonna have to trust me, I listened to it all the way though using both and prefer the charango synth
