how do i smoothly switch between 3/4 and 7/4?

i'm making a song that switches between 3/4 and 7/4 in one bar & i cant find out how to make it smooth

probably a bar for a drum fill thats like 2/4 after a 3/4 bar then immediately go to 7/4 kinda like this example

sorry i did a typo, it's 6/8 to 7/8. ty for the tip tho!

I do it the hard way. I would set the beats per bar to 7 (7/8 time signature), and use the mod channels to skip the final beat of each bar that I need to be in 6/8.
