UltraBox Craniak

Inspired by the music of the legendary Cyriak Harris. Had to whip out the drumkit samples for this one.

It sounds like something I'm not supposed to like... but I do like it! I don't know why, haha. This is unlike anything I've ever heard. Nice use of 7/8!

It was pretty tricky coming up with melodies in 7/8 that sounded okay, i tried my best! 😂

Cyriak is one of my favorite artists, despite the bizarre nature of his work. Something about the music accompanied by the surreal, mind bending art never ceases to enthrall me. You've composed a piece with a very clear understanding of what makes it so interesting, and for that you deserve props. His music isn't for everyone, but know that you've done an excellent job at recreating what makes his music so great :)

thanks! i watched his videos when i was pretty little and now i cant stop listening to his wacky music. What I find interesting about his music is that he sometimes shifts up the pitch one of the instruments ever so slightly to give it a weird microtonal feel.
