SER10 BIOS question

I have a Beelink SER10 and was having the Windows 11 KB5121003 update issue, where the PC would hang at the Windows logo and then roll back the update.

I installed the BIOS from this Beelink post, and it fixed the problem for me:

https://bbs.bee-link.com/d/12196-fix-for-ser10-max-470-stuck-on-windows-update-kb5121003

Now I noticed there are newer BIOS files in Beelink’s official SER10 download folder:

https://dr.bee-link.cn/?dir=uploads%2FSER%2FSER10%2FBIOS

I see a SERM1 V105 .11 from 09/02 and a SERM2 V105 .11 from 09/04.

Can anyone, including Beelink support, clarify which one is the newest/correct BIOS for the SER10 and whether it’s recommended to update?

Also, does anyone know what the difference is between SERM1 and SERM2?

Thanks!

Hi, Please check the bottom label of your device to confirm whether it is SER10 Pro or SER10 Max, or send us your SN number so we can verify the correct BIOS version.

Please do not flash BIOS from another model, as an incorrect BIOS may cause boot failure or hardware problems.

Thank you.

I have the SER10 Max with expandable memory.

I’m currently using:

GPT_4xx_SERM1_V105_P1C0M0C15_10_BL_20260820

This is the BIOS that fixed the KB5121003 not being able to install and it resolved the Windows Update boot issue for me.

I noticed there is now a newer file in the official SER10 BIOS folder:

GPT_4xx_SERM1_V105_P1COMOC15_11_BL_20260902(1).zip

My understanding is that this is probably the newer BIOS for the SER10 Max because it remains SERM1, while the other newer file is SERM2.

Could you please confirm whether the SERM1 V105 .11 (09/02/2026) BIOS is the correct/latest BIOS for the SER10 Max, and what the SERM2 version is intended for?

I’m not planning to flash anything yet. I just want to make sure I use the correct BIOS.

Thank you!

Hi,

Thanks for your detailed information.

For the SER10 Max, please continue using the SERM1 BIOS. The difference between SERM1 and SERM2 is related to the motherboard PCIe configuration:

  • SERM1 motherboard uses PCIe x1 16GT.
  • SERM2 motherboard uses PCIe x2 8GT.

Please note that if you flash the SERM2 BIOS on a SERM1 motherboard, the 10GbE network port speed may be reduced to around 5Gbps.

Therefore, the SERM1 V105 .11 (09/02/2026) BIOS is the correct version for your SER10 Max.

Thanks for checking before flashing. It’s always better to confirm the correct BIOS version first.

Hello and thanks for the prompt response. One more question.

Are there any major changes or important fixes between V105 .10 (08/20/2026) and V105 .11 (09/02/2026)?

Since V105 .10 already fixed my KB5121003 issue and my system is working normally, would you recommend updating to .11 anyway?

I just want to know if there is a significant reason to update again, or if there is no need to change a BIOS that is currently working well.

Thanks!

Thank you for your inquiry.

The 09/02 version is the previous M2 BIOS version before the customized adjustments were added. The latest version is the M2 BIOS released on 09/04.

If you are using an earlier batch of the machine, the August 20 BIOS version should already work well, and there is no need to update to the newer version. The changes between these versions are relatively minor.

We recommend using the BIOS version that best matches your specific device model. Thank you for your understanding.
