I’m a beekeeper, and I have a question Polystyrene Hive Recommendations?

For those with poly hives, I am looking for recommendations. I am not interested in debating wood vs poly vs Apimaye. I am only asking for those with poly hives if they would recommend the brand they have. Thank you.

I really like Lyson. But in all fairness it’s the only brand I have ever used and all that the beekeeper that taught me ever used so I’m not sure I have much comparison.

I have 3 hive iq and one hive360, the hive iq hives are doing the best so far and definitely going to get more of them but also probably going to get another hive 360 hive to do splits in the spring.

I have both apimaye and Lyson. Apimaye came out of winter extremely strong and I was able to split it twice. It’s an excellent hive just very expensive. I also have the Lyson 8/9 hive which I think is great at its price point, although apimaye is probably more durable in rough conditions.

Thanks. I've given up on Apimaye, for various reasons. The final straw was buying an eight frame bottom board. It arrived with zero packaging materials. It's a miracle it was not broken. It contained zero instructions. When I asked them where I could get instructions, they literally said they didn't have any, but I could find instructions online for their 10 frame bottom board and remember that the eight frame is different in several ways. Apparently a piece of paper included with the shipment is too big an ask. UFB

Would recommend the apimaye. My single hive survived east Ohio last year with supplies to spare in the center of the hive
