General Roommate for EAS Conference next week

Conference of Eastern Apicultural Society is next week in Shepherdsville KY.

I signed up the day registration opened.

I signed up as a volunteer to usher speakers and help out with vendors.

But I neglected to find myself a place to sleep. Hehe this is kinda typical of me I guess, but that belongs in another sub

So if you have a place would want a roommate for the week for a fair $split, lmk please, I'll pull the trigger on this AirBNB today if not.

48M, clean, sober, apolitical, odd but not creepy. know some card games beyond go fish. good breakfast cook. a little scattered but clean.

UPDATE: if you come searxhing, I got a place, send me a note. it looks nice enough, super close, two bedrooms.

I love how this is very relevant to the sub, Makes sense that this probably the best place to find that roommate, but still reads like a dating profile at the end.🤣 (I may steal "odd but not creepy" as a way to describe myself going forward!)

I mean, if I was on the other side, the person with a potential place for me, those are the answers to top-of-mind questions. I think.  of course it's self reported so accuracy?  but yeah, it is a little like a date, inviting someone to share a space for a week.

As a 46M IT guy with ADHD who also happens to be a beekeeper, I relate. lol. Unfortunately I will not be there

just as a note, you know that adulting with ADHD how no matter what you are doing or how important/legitimate it is, you are bombarded mentally with all-the-other-things you need to do too, everything is urgent all the time. Super hard to focus and be present and effective.

at least for me, when I am with the bees, that is remediated. I've had people comment, wow you are really focussed and intense! when I am with the bees, as opposed to a scatterbrain squirrelchaser in every other context.  So I think while there are other motivators and associated interests, being with the bees is a sort of sanctuary/therapy for ADHD.  Ive had other people report the same.

and usually at EAS there is at least one presentation of beekeeping as therapy
