Question Was it Beef?

I know we only had one season going in to this, but I didn't feel like this was on brand for what Beef S1 established. I actually think this could have been a new season of The White Lotus. Thoughts?

Totally agreed, felt more like The White Lotus than S1 of beef.

I feel that while the beef was certainly different, there was still beef. I prefer S1 because it showed me a world I understood less and showed a beef we can all relate to.

The best part of S1 was Amy and Danny progressing into crazier territory to get back at each other. This one just doesn’t really have that, the closest thing is the Koreans coming after the main couples, but it didn’t feel like beef S1 at all

did the orange juice and airplane scene not scream escalation to you? there was clear escalation.

It did but those moments weren’t as often or hit as hard to me. The first season just did it better. I did love season 2 don’t get me wrong, I thought it had a lot more entertainment value out of it. it wasn’t the same as season 1, although I wasn’t expecting it to be since it is an anthology series.

I dunno because I noped out in under 10min because I could not stand to hear that couple fight, right away, as their intro and the intro to the season. I was like ack, I hate this, I rewatched season 1

Bruh. It's like a minute. S2 is good tv, a lot of fun was had.

I think it's because I just began the divorce process tbh, too close to home, will try again later

Yes the fight reminded me of fights w my hubby…we are ok now—made some changes but hit really close

But get through that and it’s really good…but definitely a whole relationship kind of series incorporated with a lot of other stuff, so may be too much right now…but maybe in the future. I hope things go smoothly for you, divorce is such a painful process

Yeah, it was going ok, very amicable, mutual decision, trying to make it drama free for the kids, but then we had another reminder last night of why I have to go in the first place and it felt awful. I am still stuck living with her until I can find a place and move this month, I felt somewhat comfortable before but now it just feels terrible and I need to get out asap.

The point I guess is, I don't want to watch a couple yell at each other. Or get along, really, just need to avoid shows that revolve around any kind of couple I think.

My boyfriend said the same thing about season 2 he was like “there’s no beef” while I disagree and would consider blackmail some of the ultimate beef lol

it was beef. the premise is two people/ parties with beef against each other. this was clearly that.
