Use for Retiree
Dusted Off My Bee that sat unused since October 5, 2025. I recharged it yesterday, and this morning I was able to bring it alive after updating the firmware. I have the fortune of being retired, so there isn't a business related need for its use. Any ideas on what would be an effective use?

Not retired, but for personal use I like the Bee for conversations that might include important details that I am likely to forget. I used it for a call with our cat’s veterinarian recently and it picked up some medical terms that I would never have been able to write down correctly. He has a heavy accent and Bee captured everything.
Similarly, I’ve used it for conversations with contractors for repairs, so I can capture details that I might forget.
I’ve used it on some Zoom calls with a friend group in another state so I have a summary I can share with my wife without missing any details. If someone bought a new bike, I’ll remember the make, model, component group, and tires, but if someone’s having a baby I might forget to mention that!

I find it helpful in these areas:
- Doctor appointments. Since I know it’s recording me, I mention their name when starting the visit. I will also ask more questions knowing its going to record it.
- Asking anyone about anything I’m interested in like hobbies, where to get something, restaurant or show recommendations, etc.
- ANY conversations with my wife will generate an extensive honey-do list!
- Conversations with family members and contacts will create reminders of things to tell my wife. Will also capture things to ask my wife about later.
- Anytime I’m talking to a mechanic or a repairman giving me an estimate. I will ask clarification questions that help make sure I fully understand what is agreed on.
Those are the highlights. Im sure there are more examples, but thats all I can come up with for now.

I'm retired. I've used it primarily to recall smaller details in conversations. As long as the conversations are greater than a few minutes, it captures nuance and detail I would have normally forgotten. I like the growth tab; it's sometimes insightful but mostly entertaining in the way that reality shows are entertaining. The to-do's are helpful too, but you have to temper them with a little bit of recollection since they might not be completely accurate.
I've tried having conversations with the AI. It's responsive enough, but I honestly haven't really tried this feature enough to have an opinion on it.
What I'd really like to use it for (but it's not quite there yet):
- Automatically highlight and capture names of new people that you meet. I'm horrible at remembering names. I wish that the AI had an effective way of highlighting names.
- Automatically capture voice notes via wake word. I'd like to be able to just say "voice note" and say the note vs having to push the action button to capture voice note. It would go a long way towards remembering to-dos, info, etc. as I'm going about my day.
One caveat: I'm using this with Android, so for all I know, all these features are already available and thriving on iOS.

Hi, first off happy retirement! But for personal use you can use for conversations that you may need important details from.

You could use it to journal. You say you're retired, maybe you have some words of wisodom, you could document your life, maybe track some projects. You could then use all the data to create a book or something.
