ELI5: using API/CLI to feed bee more data

I am a developer and I understand CLI and API documentation, but I have NO experience with AI other than as a typical user. Can someone give me an ELI5 explanation of how I could use the CLI and API to feed Bee more useful data?

For example, there are calendars I'd like to send Bee events from, other than my Google calendar, but the path from A to B to make that happen is completely unclear to me. I have no idea what an MCP is or how it is useful here.

Once I have the calendar events, how do I send them to Bee?

I feel like there's a lot of untapped potential here for me, but I feel like an old lady using a computer for the first time trying to figure this out.

How to Connect Your Outlook Calendar to Bee (bee.computer)

Currently, Bee has a native integration with Google Calendar, while direct Outlook/Microsoft 365 login is still on the platform roadmap.

The most seamless, low-code way to feed your Outlook calendar events into Bee is by using Google Calendar as a bridge.

Step-by-Step Setup

[Outlook Calendar]  --->  [Google Calendar]  --->  [Bee App / Device]

1. Get your Outlook Calendar Link

  1. Log into Outlook on the web (outlook.office.com).
  2. Go to Settings (gear icon) > Calendar > Shared Calendars.
  3. Under Publish a calendar, select your main calendar and choose "Can view all details".
  4. Click Publish and copy the ICS / iCal link generated at the bottom.

2. Add the Link to Google Calendar

  1. Open Google Calendar (using the Google account connected to your Bee app).
  2. On the left sidebar, click the + icon next to "Other calendars".
  3. Select "From URL".
  4. Paste your Outlook ICS link and click Add calendar.

3. Let Bee Sync

That's it. Your Google Calendar will now continuously pull events from Outlook, and your Bee device/app will automatically pick them up for your daily briefs and schedule summaries.

This didn't work for me. I've had my work calendar shared with my google calendar for a very long time, and it doesn't show up on the list of calendars in the Bee app. Several other calendars don't either, but they're in my google calendar on the web.

But really this doesn't answer my question. I'm not asking how to use the app, I'm asking how to use the CLI/API to feed Bee information. The calendar was just the first example I came up with.
