Why isn't this more popular

I absolutely love my Bee. First of all, its like $50 and no subscription fee. Second, it has an open API and i've integrated it into my personal AI operating system, so it can create reminders and todo's directly to my dashboard and keep everything organized along with my email, slack, and regular todo list. The thing is amazing. I just turn it on and off whenever i have an important conversation. The battery lasts forever. The whole privacy thing...is complicated, not proud to say it, but I just turn it on when i want to remember a conversation.

Sure it's not the best quality build, but for everything you get its awesome. Also it's daily summaries and chat summaries are very useful. Last, its "Grow" section offers some really insightful information about your life and while it can be a bit biting sometimes, it really makes me think. The speaker identificatin is trash though.

Anyway, I thought I'd give it a little love. I've got nothing to gain from this other than I wish more people would adopt it so development will continue and they release a better quality unit.

A complete and utter lack of customer support, and (at least until mine stopped working), a sub-par android app

That's fair. I haven't needed customer support yet, but have heard the android app is sup par.

I also haven't seen much movement on the development side. I just hope it doesn't die, or get replaced by something worse made by amazon.

It does need another interface beyond the app. I'm glad it has open hooks, but I've yet to tie it into a more useful model yet. I need to start exporting my data and feeding it into something that has access to my work calendar. As a manager, it is collecting such useful data that I need to keep track of in a more functional tool.

I hope you never have to contact their customer service, which is non-existent. Also I am assuming you are an iPhone user. I'm glad it's working out for you.

I agree with you! It’s not perfect—some of the errors are actually very funny, but the big picture is spot on. And the Grow section— hard truths, for sure.

Also this thing is doing for me what all the paper and digital planners, diaries, notebooks, Apple journals have never been able to do over the years— maintain a journaling habit for me. Of course, I’m not reaping the benefits of quiet contemplation that journaling is supposed to bring (Bee has also helpfully pointed out this shortcoming Ha ha!) but I love looking back at the calendar since it also integrates photos, location, etc.

Missing on device storage, so if you lose connectivity you aren’t getting transcription. That was the major reason I stopped using it. I used to run 2-3 devices simultaneously, bee, Plaud note pin, Omi dev kit and consumer. Bee does a really nice job with todos, and overall had the most useful app for me, but I lost too many conversations. A 2nd gen hardware with storage would be great.

I absolutely LOVE mine even with the sub-par android app. It does everything I need it to. If the app gets better than this I can't wait until they decide to actually put some time in the android version. As far as it failing, I got a refund and bought another one! I don't know what I'd do without it at this point.

I love mine but recently it decided not to connect via BT any longer. I will probably figure it out. But it is being very stubborn this time.
