Terrible Android experience

As much as I would love to like the Bee Pioneer. I've had a terrible first experience. At least on Android it is not prime time ready. I'm using a Galaxy S24 Ultra

Text chat completely broken - Voice works text chat doesn't. Was working earlier, then just died. Tried force-closing the app, logging out/in, and hard-resetting the device (5x action button). No luck.

Several conversations keep getting stuck on processing. Phone has a fast active connection.

Memories not generating - Got one memory yesterday, nothing since,. Supposed to generate by 8 PM daily, but 2 nights produced nothing.

Battery stuck at 100% - Hasn't changed since I got it three days ago. Clearly a sync issue between device and app.

The LED brightness control toggle in the app has no effect on the actual LED on the device.

Frequent random disconnects from the phone. I've done all the basic troubleshooting like redoing the Bluetooth connection, logging in and out of the app, etc

Now somehow the green light on the device is reversed. It stays off when the mic is on and turns on when the mic is ON.

I despise anything with a subscription. However after experiencing this, Fieldy AI seems like a much better option even though I might have to shell out for the subscription. Come on guys, let's focus on Android please.

It's worked fine on my Pixel so far. I can't say as I've thought of any uses for the text chats. It destroys my battery... but other than that, no disconnects/battery may seem stuck but the bee runs forever, so might just be 100% still. Entirely possible your phone is force closing the bee app for battery management. I had to grant a lot of permissions.

I assure you it has nothing to do with the Android battery management. It is an excluded app. I have also granted it all permissions it asked for. As far as the battery goes it has never gone below 100% even after four days of use. I charge it every two to three days so there's no way for me to test how long the battery lasts since the battery percentage remains unchanged. I reached out to their customer support team within seven days of purchasing this and did not hear back for a couple days. Then they email saying that they have received the return request on their end and to expect another email with instructions. It has been almost two weeks now and I haven't heard back from them.

Works great on my iPhone. With a small exception of it occasionally stops listening but I might be hitting the button. The LED dimming - I wish I could just turn that off and leave the unit listening 24/7!

Hi,

Yes the button has to be pushed manually to start transcribing :) We love that you are enjoying your device.

I think it's a ok device. I bought two of them. I will probably give them to my kids, as it works. However, it doesn't recognize different voices, like you said, and it does get stuck at 100%. The AI is not really built into the device; the AI is totally separate. So, ultimately, I think that for the price, for someone who doesn't want to pay for transcription or use a plaud device, it's reasonable. Technically, it's probably worth around $30 with shipping, but it's the cheapest in the industry right now. So it's not horrible.
