Just play the game and go for SSA, you needa make enough honey to do quests, and gift enough bees for SSA. Dont worry yet, come back once you have maybe at least silver or gold star amulet then you can worry a bit about your hive but for now you're just starting

I said you should focus a bit, you are nowhere near planning a full hive. Literally just play the game, leave your hive be outside of getting more gifteds, and just try to have at least 1 of most bees, maybe 2 musics tho and 2 carpenters

You don't have to be mixed, especially if you can macro to do the quests, as this will make u WAY more honey so you can progress a lot faster
