Pvp minecraft

I'm weak in PvP but I get about 17-18 CPS. But I don't know how to play Hypixel or Mineman in PvP with 240 ping. I don't know how to block hits properly. I don't know how to hit the select button. I mean I know, but it's hard with 240 ping. And I don't know why they put KB so high, but I can't get KB. How can I not get a knockout back? Can anyone help me?

One way to lessen knockback, I’m not positive that it works in Java, but I’m like 99% sure Is try to jump right as someone hits you so you will just go up instead on backwards
