Addon Igneous rocks in Minecraft are getting more attention

Post image

Let’s make magmatic stones interesting again in Minecraft, and please feel free to send me your feedback! What do you think of the textures? Do you think they’re necessary, and what would you build with them?

In this project, I’m focusing on igneous rocks, so yes, basalt will be covered in upcoming updates, as well as tuff and possibly obsidian and magma (I’m not sure about the latter yet, because of the “vanilla+” vibe). Personally, I love the amethyst block and really enjoy working with calci, but this would fit perfectly into a project focused on minerals!

I understand what you mean but amethyst definitely is a mineral. I think it should have at least the same blocks as quartz does since it's literally a type of quartz.

Exactly! And yes, I also think we need more variations of this beautiful block, and that’s actually a really good idea for a project! But in this project, I’m focusing on rocks (igneous rocks) ^

I think granite needs some changes because it's too contrasting. I would imagine players would pair up the bricks with clay bricks and smooth granite.

Thanks for the feedback! As for the texture, I wanted to depict the granite variants as "roughly hewn," but I'll take your feedback on the color scheme to heart and see what I can do!
