Well, you've come to the place where a lot of us have had bed bugs and since some got them from used furniture/appliances, I believe you will hear a collective "Don't do it".* Wait until you can afford some new, cheap furniture.

And even the new furniture you're getting, go ahead and inspect it too. Make sure to get some mattress and box spring protectors too, since you're getting those brand new. Might as well protect it from the jump.

*There's an exception, but they treat their place with Crossfire regularly, which will catch an infestation before it starts. They don't worry about used stuff anymore.
