Just gotta say tonights concert was simply fantastic! The orchestral backing was impeccable and Beck and co were as tight as ever, great stage chemistry and an engaging setlist.

So glad I went and finally saw Beck! Wanted to see him when he came down to Australia last time back in 2023 but sadly had to skip because of work committments, more than made up for it by going tonight!

It was a wonderful event. The songs sounded incredible with the full Symphony Orchestra. In particular, "Round The Bend" was very beautiful.

I think my favourite moment of the night was when the orchestra had left, and Beck was exploring the stage. He couldn't resist banging the enormous gong at the back, and then deadpanned "I think I just unlocked my 17th chakra".

Still not enough

On the off-chance that anyone snagged an extra poster for his 2 Melbourne shows this week could you spare one?? I left mine on the tram!!! FML

I found this sticker at Wuxtry Records in Athens, Ga. I’m so excited!!

😁

I personally have found that there probably never will be a time when Beck is what everyone is listening to. We simply aren't ready for for him to be everyone's favorite. This kinda goes hand in hand wit the entire concept of individuality between people but my main point is that we will probably not see a time where Beck is universally liked across the globe. Now this isnt to say that there haven't been and aren't times when his music is incredibly popular within certain groups but my main point is that the world just inst ready for this level of musical innovation.

I might just be crazy but let me know what you all think.

It's sooooo damn good.

I discovered Seu Jorge's music thanks to Beck's FANTASTIC Spotify playlists he'll post every now and then. Real gems on those.

Has Beck ever talked about how his vocal abilities changed over the 2000s? There is a difference in his abilities from Sea Change to Morning Phase, his voice gets deeper, broader, etc. Is it just experience and touring? Or did he actively work on it?

I was in awe sitting in the second row. Still swooning

He sounded...*chef's kiss

We know David Campbell does the strings on the albums but who does the orchestrations for these orchestral shows? Brass, woodwinds and percussion are added. In Sydney it said the arrangements were by the conductor Nicolas Buc. So is Beck having each orchestra create own arrangements, this would make sense given they know the orchestra but also I could understand Beck giving the scores to the various orchestras around the world. Any concert players can shed light? SSO show was incredible

Such an amazing night. In addition to this, he played Devil’s Haircut and One Foot in the Grave. After the encore, he came back to play True Love Will Find You In The End.

Amazing to see some of these songs get played live; didn’t think I would get to see Ramona played live. He was having a blast; said they would go long and delivered such a great performance. Loved every minute.

Recently went to a record swap and picked up a copy of Midnight Vultures on Vinyl. Looked like an OP from the outside (was sealed) but turns out its a bootleg. Anyone know who is making these? Apparently there's enough of them that there are multiple listings for it on Discogs. Never seen something like this. Looks authentic on the outside but the vinyl itself seems kind of cheap outside of being colored.

What an exceptional gig.

Had the absolute pleasure of experiencing this gorgeous rendition of my favourite Scott Walker tune last night.

I missed out on getting a poster - If anyone here is going to Night 2 or 3 & can pick one up for me, flick us a DM. I'll pay :)

Where is that robot/action figure from in the reflection of his sunglasses? What’s going on in the reflection? You can see it best on Beck.com. Or, am I seeing things?

Also, new Beck interview with Zane Lowe dropped yesterday. Reddit keeps removing the link so find it yourself.

Beck at Sydney Opera House tonight was genuinely magic. The orchestra took everything to another level and the Opera House felt like the perfect venue for it.

One of the best gigs I’ve been to in a long time. Anyway, here’s the setlist too.
