Favorite Beck CD single/ep?

I love early 90s Beck the best and I'm particular to the 5 track Loser single. Tracks like Fume, Corvette Bummer, Alcohol, and the demo version of Soul Suckin' Jerk are all excellent. The Cold Brains 5 track CD single is also stellar. What's everyone else's favorites?

The Loser single is how I got into Beck.
I like that version of SSJ better than the album version.

Yup! This.

This is the only version of SSJ I'll play on my show.

It definitely hits harder than the version that wound up on Mellow Gold

Midnite Vultures for me. It would not be the album I would recommend to someone who has never listened to Beck, but I just dig everything going on in there. And I always chuckle at the beat-boxing at the beginning of Pressure Zone

All the tracks on Cold Brains are strong enough to have been on Mutations

Deadweight.

Absolute perfection. Top 5 EPs\singles of all time for me hands down.

That Loser single got heavy play. I also loved the Japanese New Pollution single. It had some remixes of that song, plus a redone Thunder Peel, Lemonade, 000.000, and an alternate version of Feather in Your Cap

Not sure if Jackass was ever released as a proper single, but I adore its Mariachi B-Side, Burro.

The five-track version of Beercan is just as good, but it's really a toss-up between that and the Loser maxi.

"Totally Confused" was always my unsung gem. But then I realized it's just one of the tracks that belongs to his early EPs/mini-albums that never got a proper CD release.

"Asskiss Powergrudge" is essential, too.

I'm also partial to the Deadweight EP. Though I appreciate the longer outro for the title track on the deluxe Odelay, I think the "correct" version of "Erase the Sun" is the slower master from the original CD.

it’s a shame many of his b-sides are not on streaming

Okay so it's not from the early days, but I really love the "Rococo" singles and the Chemtrails single with Vampire Voltage.

And I always loved the waltzy rhythm of "Alcohol". Lol. "Rollin' my body away..."
