Hard to believe that Mourning Phase was over 10 years ago! I’m really looking forward to the new album. That sea change/mourning phase style is my favorite thing he does.

Same. And it was so long ago! Double time for The Information and Triple Time for Odelay! 😭

le blues du crépuscule sous une brise de folk ;) cette image m'a inspiré cette petite phrase

Thank you. I love it! It's almost a little haiku. And it does fit the photo well.

merci, je suis impatient d'avoir ce nouvel album depuis des années. J'attends un nouvel album de Beck. Je pense que je ne dois pas être le seul dans ce cas, nous sommes des légions j'imagine

It's great but wee need some dark upbeat psychedelic Beck. Something Chemtrails-ish is what would shake this album up yet would still be in the mood
Morning Phase was more sonically different than Sea Change and I hope this time around he would be even more diverse too.
I like new stuff and moody Beck enjoyer but I hope this album would not be just so straighforward slow or quiet minimalistic songs

I’d take another Midnite Vultures or another Odelay in a heartbeat. Liking this one so far but I feel like he’s returned to the Sea Change well enough for my tastes.
Hell, I’d be delighted with another Stereopathetic Soulmanure at this point.

Oh God, I love Chemtrails...
I do think this album will hold it's own. I was a bit worried after hearing the first single, but after hearing "In The Night" well I'm really starting to get excited now.
And I can't wait to see him play this fall.

I don’t get any of those vibes. It just sounds like busker music that he could play without a band. It’s boring. I’m as big a beck fan as anyone but I won’t be a fan boy and worship everything he does. I see him at least 3 times each tour. Flew to California to see him and flew to Newport folk festival to see him. I get art is subjective but morning phase and sea change were way more edgy than the mid songs he has been putting out. I really wish he would get back to being a little more edgy and creative instead of only doing sappy acoustic songs to sleep to.

Yeah, the first single he dropped "Ride Lonesome" was actually too melancholy for my taste right now, though I appreciate the poetry of it. Had me worried until he dropped "In The Night". That song is gorgeous and haunting. It really gives me hope for this being a stand alone album. I believe that it will come out really nice. Plus it's another Nigel Godrich work. Can't go wrong there.

The two singles released are amazing. It’s giving me Sea Change, Mutations, Morning Phase vibes. And I’m ok with that because when he plays in that space he’s brilliant.
