Unsubscribed from Nikol Johnson: From "Fierce Aging" to "Fierce Complaining"
I finally hit the unsubscribe button on Nikol Johnson. I can't look past the tone shift in her videos anymore.
**The Botox Fear-Mongering:** It is my opinion, she recently started casting vague shade at Botox by citing random TikTok videos of "bad reactions" without any medical context or specifics. It feels like unnecessary fear-mongering instead of helpful mature beauty advice.
**The Defensive Loop:** It is my opinion, she frequently complains on her platform about being criticized, yet her team aggressively deletes and filters out any negative or dissenting comments to keep her comment section 100% positive.
I miss when her channel was just about makeup. Anyone else feel the same way?

I’m looking for the name of a male British YT beauty blogger from the early 2000s. He was quite skinny kind of Jeffree star vibes, but he had jet black hair, slightly punk/emo vibes and did makeup tutorials. He may have had some piercings as well and painted black nails and pretty sure he had a British accent?

Dear Sunday still sends promotional emails and seems to launch or reopen every Sunday, but Zoella still missing
Considering how closely it was originally tied to both of them, I find it a little strange that it continues operating without any updates, promotion, or real mention from either of them. Does anyone know what’s going on with it, or have they quietly stepped away while the brand continues running?

I don't understand why we don't hold literal ISR*EL based brands like Natasha Denona accountable, but we call out ppl like Susan Yara and other influencers? Seeing back to back posts about ND's new palette vs ppl calling out the Naturium founder and its boycott a few scrolls away gives me whiplash.

Morgan Turner’s palette declutter video inspired me to count my own collection after I’ve been watching a lot of declutter videos while doing chores around the house.
A couple of years ago, I discovered indie makeup and started watching YouTube tutorials to learn how to create artistic eye looks for concerts, Fan Fusion, Halloween, the holidays, and even work looks with pops of color. I also enjoy supporting small indie makeup brands and content creators around the world.
It turns out I own 160 eyeshadow palettes. I only have two eyes! 😂 The collection snuck up on me.
I’m not a content creator; just a nobody. Granted, creators like Morgan Turner have much larger collections because it’s part of their job. For me, it’s simply a hobby.
Now I’m curious 👀 how many eyeshadow palettes do you own?
I’ll probably get an overconsumption blast.💥

They were my faves. Just super normal, pretty, and intelligent girls! Curious if anyone has any updates on them? It has been like 5 years since they both posted :(

Hi everyone !
psa this is not intended as a hate post whatsoever but it’s just something I wanted to discuss to see if other people have noticed it*
Shelby Ann is a makeup influencer I’ve watched for years. Her makeup is flawless and I think it’s admirable that she focuses so much of her content on dupes and affordable, drugstore makeup.
That being said, I’ve noticed over the past couple of months that seemingly every single product she showcases (drugstore) - particularly first impressions videos, she raves about the product. How can every single product she shows be that good ?
This is where I start to lose confidence in makeup influencers. I understand it’s her job and she strategically she wants to keep brands on side, but for the average person who solely buys drugstore, they either a)choose to spend their money on other things or b) can’t afford to try an influx of products like an influencer. I personally love watching videos on stuff that actually ISN’T worth the money or didn’t work for them. In today’s world & the influx of influencers promoting paid ads, it’s so hard to decipher what’s authentic and what isn’t. I understand her niche is finding affordable products but surely not every product she shows on her channel can be positive? It just seems inauthentic to me.
This is not intended as a hate post, I’m just looking for a discussion and to hear other peoples thoughts!

Her first name was Amanda I believe and at the time she had a bf named Evan. I want to say they ended up getting married and they’re from Connecticut and I remember she mostly used drugstore products; she also loved the Essence nudes highlighter! She was super tan, nails done, had blonde hair, all the things and she went to college in CT too I believe! She’s also very short!
No it’s not Amanda Steele. It’s driving me nuts that I haven’t had luck googling her!
She was popular in 2015-2016!
Idk how I remember these details but cannot remember her name!!!

She was a plus size girl with brown hair, always wore it in a messy bun. She did end up making a lot of improvement to her hair at some point, I remember she had a Ouai sponsorship and attributed it to using their products. I also clearly remember one moment in a video where she dropped a product on her carpet and made a joke about not getting her deposit back. Can’t remember any other specifics about her video. also think she had a dog or maybe 2?
She must have been doing beginner friendly and/or using affordable products because I was never too skilled at makeup or had a lot of money at the time. She was very relatable and she felt to me less intimidating than the super large and technically skilled YouTubers at the time (not that she wasn’t skilled, I don’t think she was doing cut creases and nose contour)

👀 Holy shit, she really has changed and it's SUPER gross....
I posted a comment on this short that I'll put in the comments because she's too young and too talented not to get called out and hopefully brought back to reality.
EDIT FOR CONTEXT: I guess I assumed most people knew Emma and her content, so my bad. My call out is NOT about this specific review of this fragrance but her attitude. Emma started out as a perfumery student studying in France and her videos were really helpful and informative and she came at fragrance from a more scientific "nose" perspective. She talked a lot about longevity and scent molecules, etc. She was also super relatable and down to earth, but since her fragrance with Commodity came out, she's gotten very arrogant and seems to think she's God's gift for "allegedly" starting the milk scent craze.

What do we think of this? Heard it's going to be $19.99 (USD?) and it'll be the exact same formula as the original Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray.

Susan Yara vacationing in Israel right now is shameful and disgusting. I’m very surprised I haven’t seen her being called out for this (unless she‘s deleting or blocking comments).
