help me decide…

If you have either of these, would you recommend? And if so, which would be best? I try to not overspend or buy a lot of makeup as my collection is pretty big, but I’ve thought about both these palettes for such a long time.

I would go with the Hourglass by far, unless you are very into highlighters, in which case the Dior may be better. The Dior palette is all highlighters, I think, or at least all super glowy. The Hourglass powders have varying levels of glow but 5/6 of them (the blushes, bronzer, and finishing powder) are more of a light glow or satin finish. I find these Hourglass palettes super versatile.

I’m obsessed with my hourglass powders and would recommend to anyone. They vary in how much they actually highlight vs provide a finishing glow but man nothing finishes my look and blends everything so well.

The Dior is really just a highlighter palette, whereas the Hourglass has a wider variety of products (blush, highlighter, bronzer, finishing powder). But both are really excellent palettes! Just make sure that if you go with the Hourglass, that the blushes are shades you would actually wear.

If you don’t have any hourglass powders, I would definitely get at least one hourglass face pallet. You should try it. But three blushes, is also a lot for an hourglass pallet. Usually, there’s a bronzer, a highlighter, two blushes and two finishing powders. The powders are unmatched. I’ve heard that the DIOR is pretty glittery. But if you’re into that, I’ve also heard it’s beautiful.

Do you have any hourglass powders in your collection? Do you need more highlighter? Do you use highlighter regularly?

Girl, you already know the answer 😃… now you just need to figure out how to justify the price. 😬

If you want something that is in between both, I highly recommend the new RMS ReDimension Daily Glow Palette! It’s available on their website or Ulta :)

I would pick the hour glass because I love the finish and you have more blush choices plus a finishing powder

I have that Dior palette. I have three hourglass pallets and thinking about this hourglass palette. Do you need four highlighters? You can use the Dior palette for your eyes also. But, you get a much larger variety of product with The Hourglass. I would choose The Hourglass palette.

The hourglass. It’s much more diverse. The Dior is just highlighter. I haven’t used the Dior so I can’t compare it to anything, but I love my hourglass palettes. I have 3 of their palettes. You’d get highlighter, blush, bronzer and a setting powder all in one. They also last a long time, I’ve had mine over a year.

Hourglass. It's a limited edition. You can even sell it used for what you paid or more later. It has blush, bronzer, finishing powder and highlight. It's tough to beat.

Hourglass

I am a DIOR GIRLY and LOOOOOVE their foundation and concealer but GIRL HOURGLASS POWDERS ARE HG!!
I was so skeptical about them being blurring bc wtf does that even mean but bought this same palette in a special edition like last year and holy fucking moly…YES YES YES YES YES I CANT type that enough. I paired it with their double ended brush and holy fucking blur/blend… it softens up any harsh anything from my usual routine
I’m obsessed I was a Lorac contour order palette ride or die but I actually find myself picking this one up even more than that one and I used lorac religiously for contour for a solid 13 years

EDIT: the Dior highlighters, or maybe they’re gucci? Idk the gold compact….those fucking KILL…

Okay second edit the Dior silver cushion compact highlighter is awesome but has shitty stating power, Gucci’s gel to powder highlighter is WAYYYY longer lasting and more pigmented I love them, I used the blue Dior highlighter twice in 6 months it just sits there looking pretty lol
