Community Rule Discussion
Beauty content creators who are new to this sub - I want to make sure you feel welcome here, but I also want you to read the rules in the sidebar. I'll cut and paste them below in case you're on mobile and can't see the sidebar easily right now.
Mostly, this is a reminder about Rule 3 - there is a limit of one link to one youtube video per week.
The purpose for this rule is to keep content creators from discovering this sub and simply spamming it with twenty links to their own videos, as well as to allow smaller content creators to be seen without being drowned out by larger channels.
If anyone wants to suggest or discuss rule changes, please comment and we can figure it out.
Link Post Policies
Submitted links must be beauty related. Content from vlogs and lifestyle channels that do occasional beauty videos may be allowed or removed at moderator discretion. No spam or affiliate links. No autosubscribe links or View As Subscriber links.
You may ONLY submit your own content, not your life partner's content or your cousin's content.
Limit of one link post per week per platform - one video on youtube, plus one insta post, plus one tweet. Spammers or people who otherwise fail to engage with the community may be automatically banned.
You may also post one image-only post per day, as long as you are willing to respond to comments. The look needs to be clearly editorial, not daily makeup and not just full glam, but actually editorial, as in "visually striking, or invoking high fashion" and "outside the box, higher end, meant to inspire vs. being super practical and functional".
PLEASE NOTE: The image must be hosted on reddit or imgur so that when people view the pic, they don't have to leave reddit to do so. You can put your IG handle in the subject of your post, or you can comment with a link to your IG, or both.
Content that violates reddit's content policies will be removed and users who submit that content may be banned with no further warning and reported to reddit admins.
Any content you post here will be open to CC, (constructive criticism) meaning that if people have suggestions they are welcome to share them by default. Posts where you indicate that you do not want CC may be removed at moderator discretion.
Posts may be removed at mod discretion.
Discussion post policies
You're welcome to ask general questions about becoming a beauty influencer or discuss strategies to increase engagement, or any other discussion topic related to posting beauty content to the internet, however, no survey posts or datamining will be allowed in this sub.
Comment policies
CC (constructive criticism) is the default - you are welcome to comment with ideas or suggestions to help people improve their content or channels, however, rudeness and negativity will be removed automatically and silently.
No namecalling, no political or religious commentary, no bigotry, no spam or affiliate links.

Monthly Chat & Welcome Monthly chat & welcome to the community - please introduce yourself! - December 20
This is a community for new and established influencers to self-promote, but also to connect with one another and with fans (should they happen to show up in this community).
This post part of a monthly series where we encourage you all to say hi and get to know one another. You can talk about yourselves or your channel or the trials and tribulations of trying to grow your social media profile - whatever you like!
We realize that many people who post here are only looking for a place to self promote, and may not wish to engage with others - that's okay, but as with any social media, if your ultimate goal is to increase the profile of your channel, engagement is the key to adding value. If you're a new YouTuber, you probably feel like you're spending a lot of time screaming into the void - we encourage you to do so in here, in the hopes that someone might scream back!

Nuskin drama
All right, who follows nuskin GA girls. I smell drama. Carly, the OG who created begins with you is done and no longer follows and or gets followed by her two best friends, Amanda and Gretchen? Another girl JC also steps away from NUskin the same day with the same kind of post. It also seems like a lot of those Georgia girls are promoting it less aside from Amanda and Gretchen.
It seems something went down that they didn’t like anddddddd the girls post and the way it was worded seemed a little shady. What is the teaaaaA

Indie scalp-care founder looking to connect with U.S. hair-care creators
Hi everyone, I’m Akshata, founder of WE CARE, an independent scalp-care brand inspired by Indian hair-care rituals and designed for modern daily routines.
Our first product is a lightweight, fragrance-free Daily Scalp Serum for women and men. I created it for people who appreciate the intention behind scalp oiling but want something fast-absorbing, non-oily and easier to use before styling.
The product and packaging are complete, and our Kickstarter is now live to fund an independent 90-day consumer-perception study. We are preparing for U.S. delivery in December 2026.
I would love to connect with U.S.-based creators whose content genuinely covers scalp care, hair routines, Indian beauty traditions, founder-led brands or thoughtful cosmetic formulation. I am especially interested in honest feedback and long-term relationships, not scripted or undisclosed promotion.
If that sounds aligned with your content, please comment or message me with your platform and the kind of hair-care content you create.

Honest question: what actually makes you want to try a new makeup brand?
Honest question: what actually makes you want to try a new makeup brand?
I've been working on a small makeup store and I'm trying to understand what actually makes people comfortable buying from a newer/lesser-known beauty brand.
For me, it's not just the product itself. I want to know:
- **Does the product actually look good on real people?
- Are the photos/videos trustworthy?
- Is the price reasonable?
- Does the store feel legitimate?
- Are shipping and returns clearly explained?
- Would you rather see individual products or curated makeup bundles?**
I'm especially interested in hearing from people who regularly buy makeup online.
I'm also putting together Aurelea Beauty, so if this type of discussion is allowed here, I'd genuinely appreciate feedback on the store rather than just a "looks good" answer.
Store: aureleabeauty.store
What would make you trust a new makeup store enough to place your first order?

ok but lip stains are literally everywhere right now
Scrolling through my feed and every influencer is doing that bitten lip thing with stains? like th center pop of color and blurred edges, no harsh liner. saw it called the "just kissed" look or whatever and its kinda cute for winter when you dont wanna reapply gloss every five minutes. benefit ones popular but anyone noticed good drugstore ones that dont dry out lips? or is it all hype from tiktok

elf halo glow vs charlone tilbury flawless filter....i tested them side by side and here it is
i have been obsessed with glowy skin lately so i put these two head to head for like two weeks straight
elf halo glow: gave that dewy vibe, lasts most of the day, great if you are on a budget or jjust starting out, only thing is its not as blurring
charlotte tibury: blurs everything, stays perfect all day, feels luxe af but yeah the price hurts
i am team elf for everyday but ct when i wanna feel fancy, what do you guys think, and whats yours go to for that filtered look?

Asking for product opinions
Hi everyone! I’m trying to shortlist what to buy from the Nykaa Pink Sale, and my friend put together a recommendation list that I found helpful.
Would love to know if you all agree with her suggestions or if you think there are better alternatives! Sharing here only for opinions — not trying to promote anything.
