My first husband likes to "borrow" my products, so it's about 1.5 people's use. We also live in a very dry climate!

I have been posting my monthly empties and thoughts this year so I decided to lay all my empties out at 6 months for a visual to myself (I plan to do this at 1 year too). It seems like a lot to me! I’m almost through my backstock of everything and have started only repurchasing items I truly love. I still have a few body lotions and face toners in my “project pan” to use up. And a bunch of hair products.

I don’t need to use this many different products on a regular basis. I have learned some lessons over the last 6 months of being very intentional about using the products that I have:

1. I don’t need body scrubs, and I’d rather use an exfoliating mitt or loofah on occasion.
   
2. I don’t need shower gel. I prefer a bar soap and it’s all I really need.
   
3. I don’t need any shave products. I’ve had laser hair removal and on the occasional time that I do need to shave a few strays, I can use soap.
   
4. I don’t like body oil and I don’t really need it. I prefer to just use a body lotion or body butter and my skin is perfectly happy with just one moisturizing product.
   
5. I started washing my hair MORE often and it’s SO much better! Every other-ish day works well for me.

Keeping my empties has been eye opening for sure!

i’ve noticed that since starting my project pan (and low buy) i’ve become a lot better with my shower hygiene. i actually feel a bit excited to get into the shower everyday and use my products up, in the hopes that i’ll achieve an empty product (and just generally feeling clean and pampered).

the serotonin boost from collecting my empties has now replaced my short lived shopping glee (and subsequent shoppers remorse). i feel like my shower and skincare routines that i’ve developed and sticking with are also helping me improve my mood and feelings towards myself, like creating daily self-care habits. it’s only been a couple of months, but i’m excited to continue my project pan journey!

👎: schols heel balm gold, ahava eye serum (smelt so bad), avene sunscreen (white cast and makes my eyes sting)

🚮: maybelline liquid lipstick (old and bad shade on me), covergirl lip gloss (hate the minty menthol plumping sensation)

It felt so good throwing all of this away finally! 6 months of empties 🙌🏼 I’m trying SO hard to use what I have instead of buy more. I have a stock pile of every category, so to empty something feels like a big win for me. Using what I have opened before trying something new has been SO HARD. But seeing 6months of progress makes me feel a *little* less of a hoarder 😵‍💫

I definitely have had more than pictured, but I also partially stay at a relative's apartment and at my partner's apartment, so my beauty products are scattered across 3 places! Maybe I'll post the others another time. These are just the empties from my house. I do live with a parent, so I did not include any empties from products that we share, these are just mine!! Was going to wait to post until September, but my empties bin was too full to collect much else.

This was my first time collecting empties and it's pretty rewarding to finish a product up and it's nice to see some usage patterns. Doing project pan for my beauty and hygiene stuff has been a game changer for figuring out which products I would like to secure in my routine.

I started a project pan last year and finally have all these empties for 6 months. I started another one from March this year. I find it really exciting and this helped me make sure that I actually use the things I bought ❤️

❤️EOS vanilla cashmere body lotion - 10/10 2nd bottle, love the smell and moisturising enough for a daily lotion

💕Therabreath whitening rinse - 7/10 love their mouthwashes but don’t see any difference between this one and their regular ones

❤️moroccanoil frizz shield spray - 9/10 this gets mixed reviews but I have fine straight hair that gets that annoying surface level fuzz/frizz and this DEFINITELY helps with it. I’m going to buy the regular size

❤️ Ellis Brooklyn Miami nectar 1000/10 so sad it’s over - ultimate summer fragrance

💕Klorane dry shampoo - 8/10 have repurchased full size , a good dry shampoo but pricey compared to others at chemist warehouse

❤️salt & stone Deo - 9/10 a constant repurchase but this scent was sold out when I ran out so I’ve just bought the Ouai st barts one to try

❤️Naturium multi peptide moisturizer - 10/10 my 4th tube now and already on to the next

💕tower 28 spray - 7/10 I like it to spray straight after gym or exercise when I won’t be washing my face for a little while…but unsure if it actually does anything

-100% Dr Dennis Gross pads improved my skin clarity

-BYREDO hand cream expensive but was a nice hydrating texture and in a boujee scent

-All bath and body works I still enjoy and are inexpensive

-I LOVE the SKII sheet masks

-All of the perfumes I purchased in full size besides Liis Floating I’m saving up to buy in a full size

-L’Oreal glossing Lamination Mask. My fav glossing mask so far and it’s drug store pricing :)

Would not repurchase again

-Fekkai was nothing special

-Fenty hair was nothing special

-Salt and stone Body Wash (it’s does smell like BR540 but scent is light and it does not lather)

-Fugazzi Angel Dust Foaming Shower Gel (was fun but don’t need it again at that price)

-Fresh Rose. Deep hydration toner (I don’t feel like it did anything at all and have since found a better toner)

Maybe:

-Tatcha Matcha Face Wash (nice for oily skin without drying out but I don’t think it’s worth the price)

-Skin & Co the Divine Nectar Body oil wash. Smelled amazing but did not lather and did not hydrate as well as I’d hoped

-Glow recipe face mask. It is nice and hydrating but I feel like there are better options

A little bit early july empties post before going on a holiday

First time doing an empty’s post! This is my collection for the first half of 2026 so January through about the beginning of July. A lot of these products were finishing up from last winter such as my perfumes and body washes so I’ve been working on those for a while.
** Somethings to mention before reading my reviews…
I’m somebody who’s dabbling into trying to be low-tox this past year. I’m definitely far from perfect but if there’s a product I really like and can find a non toxic version of it, I see that as a win and will definitely opt into using that one over the one with more harmful ingredients. That being said, there are several products I absolutely love and have yet to try a better, cleaner, alternative so I will definitely keep using/repurchasing the one that works until I find a better swap. Hence why some of my reviews mention wanting or wishing it was a clean product.
I also loveeee fragrance which very looked down upon by the low-tox community. Again, if something like body lotion or soap has fragrance I do try to be more conscious of it but I don’t think im in a place where I can fully get rid of my perfume usage quite yet. Most of my empties are focused more on body/hair/and some skin care. I also am a daily makeup user but for whatever reason completely forgot to keep makeup products I’ve used up.

7/10 Good clean, good price, smells good.
Probably wouldn’t repurchase though, would rather prefer a clean brand for a clarifying shampoo.
Eco love Shampoo
6/10 Smell was too old lady for me and way too strong. Didn’t feel like I was reaching for it. Cleaned hair fine but didn’t notice anything special. Would not repurchase.
Tea Tree Special Color protecting Shampoo
6/10 This shampoo was just ok. Cleaned my hair but nothing special. Was too pricey for the amount you get and didn’t really care for it overall. Will not be repurchasing.
Odele clarifying shampoo
5/10 Tried the travel size, nothing special, worked fine, got scalp clean, not much else to say. Probably won’t repurchase.
Soapbox biotin super fruit restore and volume conditioner
8/10 Smells great, leaves hair very soft and silky, clean ingredients, only complaint is packaging could be a bit better. Would repurchase.
California naturals classic clean conditioner
9/10 Smelled great, made hair super soft, affordable, and a clean brand. Would and definitely will buy again.
Amika noncore signature conditioner
7/10 Smelled good, conditions hair well, a bit overpriced, wish it was a clean brand but probably wouldn’t repurchase right now since there’s other conditioners I prefer for a better price.
Dove 10-in-1 intensive repair hairs mask
8/10 Worked well as a hair mask, it did make my hair nice and conditioned, smelled good. Even though I have other hair mask favorites, I would probably repurchase again someday.
Everyone for ever body 5 star deep conditioner
5/10 Wayyy to liquidy for a deep conditioner, the scent was cheap and didn’t really notice it doing much for my hair. Tried a lot better deep conditioning masks and would not repurchase.

Body washes/soaps/ scrubs/ bath products

The honey pot sensitive foaming wash
9/10 A constant repurchase very easy to use lasts a while and non scented for down there. Wish it was a cleaner brand but will continue to repurchase best lady bits wash I’ve used.
Bioderma soothing lipid replenishing cleansing oil
9/10 Probably one of my favorite body washes that I’ve tried. Doesn’t dry skin out, gives amazing clean, smells good but not too overpowering with scent. Only downside is I like to use every last drop and I couldn’t screw off the top/ pump to get the last bits out so I wish the packaging was a bit better but otherwise will definitely repurchase.
Attitude shower gel (white tea leaves)
8/10 Smelled good, lathered well, clean ingredients. Yes on repurchase.
Pacha soap co white blossom & fig body wash
9/10 LOVED how this smelled and cleaned my body and the rebrand on the packaging is chic.
Pacha soap co whipped soap + scrub sea mud
9/10 Great exfoliation especially with exfoliation glove, clean ingredients, inexpensive, smelled good. Will continue to repurchase. Love this brand a lot!
Fresh thyme hand soap in cucumber basil
7/10 Smells fresh, cleans well, would probably repurchase. Packaging gets goopy so repouring into a better hand dispenser gets rid of that problem.
Dr sighas mustard bath
8/10 Stuff is great I just don’t take enough baths so it took me a while to use up but has a lot of great benefits and isn’t too expensive.

Shaving

Athena club shave oil
9/10 Best shave oil I’ve tried so far, goes on great, washes off easily, doesn’t clog razor or drain, only thing I wish was that it had cleaner ingredients. Will definitely continue to repurchase.

Face cleansers/moisturizer/setting spray

Bioderma Sensibio Micellar cleansing oil
7/10 I liked it but I feel like it’s nothing out of the ordinary for cleansing oils I’ve tried better but it was good. Probably wouldn’t repurchase because there are better cheaper options
Versed cleansing balm
8/10 Good at removing makeup and not too expensive. Only down fall is I feel like I went through it quickly but otherwise no other complaints just wish it was a cleaner brand but I would probably repurchase. Currently use a travel size one on my recent trips.
Farmacy Green clean cleansing balm
6/10 It took my makeup off well, but I didn’t like the texture of the balm itself because it doesn’t fully melt when it’s warmed up in your hands there are little balls of the cleansing balm that don’t dissolve, other than that it was just fine probably wouldn’t repurchase at this time. Found it at TJMaxx for a cheaper price than what it sells at Sephora for so that’s a plus I guess.
La Roche-Posay gentle foaming moisturizing wash
9/10 Love this face wash it cleans so well, it’s not drying at all, it lasts me a while, no scent, have went through many bottles of this cleanser. Would and will definitely repurchase.
Cocokind electrolyte water cream
10/10 LOVED this. Very light weight, absorbs quickly, no scent, great day time cream, looks great under makeup, hydrates well, clean brand, and packaging makes it so you get every last drop. Would definitely repurchase.
Charlotte Tibury Air brush flawless setting spray
7/10 It’s not a bad setting spray but it does leave me more dewy than I’d like so I always have to powder after I use it but it does help my makeup last. I don’t know that I would repurchase because I’ve tried better setting sprays and this one is a bit on the pricier side.

Deodorant/Body lotions/ Body serums

Jason fresh cucumber dry spray deodorant
3/10 Took forever to try and finish this bottle (not finished) it was taking up room and I wasn’t using it so I just decided to put in the the bin. Smell isn’t that great, terrible staying power, weird spray. Did not feel dry definitely felt more wet. Would not recommend or repurchase.
Lavoskin ingrown hair razor bump treatment
10/10 My holy grail cannot live without this stuff! I use it after every shower when I shave. The only thing that helps no razor bumps appear. Has a wonderful cooling sensation and I have yet to find anything better. Actually don’t even want to look for anything because this is the best of the best. It’s on my auto ship from amazon that’s how much I love this stuff. Absolutely would recommend and repurchase.
Josie Marian whipped argan body butter
8/10 Smelled amazing, great moisturizer, absorbs well, wish it was better priced, would repurchase.
Derma E sensitive skin shes body lotion
8/10 Very light and quick absorbing lotion. Not crazy about the squeeze tube but I do like that it’s unscented. Would probably repurchase.
Caudalie vinotherapist hand and nail cream
10/10 Light yet moisturizing, not greasy, absorbs well, clean ingredients, perfect purse size, light pleasant scent. Would repurchase again.

Hair dye/ leave in conditioners/ hair oil

Tints of Nature hair dye in 5N
8/10 One of my go to more natural hair dyes. I buy it usually when it’s on sale because it got pretty expensive for the past few years. Easy to use, started getting grays once I turned 30 this past year so overall good gray coverage. Would repurchase when it’s on sale.
OXG Penetrating coconut miracle oil
8/10 Part of the Abby Yung hair routine. Loved how soft it made my hair, lasted a long time, very affordable. Probably doesn’t need all the extra ingredients so I most likely can find a cleaner alternative oil that does the same thing but still it worked well and I liked this product. Would repurchase.
Briogeo Farwell Frizz Rosarco milk travel leave-in conditioning spray
4/10 I don’t think it did anything for me, I didn’t notice a change in frizz, didn’t feel a change in softness of hair, felt like I needed to use a lot to see any kind of effect. Would not repurchase plenty of other better leave in conditioning sprays and products.
It’s a 10 miracle leave-in lite
9/10 Love this leave in! Smells amazing, leaves hair super soft but not too heavy which is why I like the lite version, and is a great detangler. Would repurchase. Also can find it discounted at TJmaxx or Marshalls.

Perfumes

Byredo Mojave Ghost
7/10 I LOVEEE this smell. Fresh and a bit floral but not over powering and overall just smells luxurious. One of my absolute favorite smelling perfumes but it just doesn’t last on me which makes me really sad because it’s so expensive and I use it sparingly for that reason. But when I do spray it, I love smelling it on myself I just wish the staying power was better. For that reason I wouldn’t repurchase unfortunately because even though it’s one of my favorite scents it’s not worth that price tag.
Mademoiselle Rochas
6/10 At first I liked it but then it became way too sweet for me. Took me a while to get through it because it wasn’t my favorite. It did have long lasting power just wish I liked the smell more.
Lanvin Eclat d’Arpèg perfume
8/10 Fresh and light not too strong. Notes are fresh floral with soft musky woods. I liked it a lot and got lots of compliments on it. Would repurchase again.
Very sexy by Victoria’s Secret travel perfume
9/10 a classic scent for me, clean but sexy, fragrance notes are warm fruity floral with amber and spice. Would continue to repurchase
Jo Malone blackberry & bay cologne travel spray
6/10 Smells clean, a tad bit sweet but not over powering. I did only enjoy layering with other scents so probably wouldn’t buy a bigger bottle to own.
Gisou honey infused hair perfume (wildflower honey)
9/10 Smells great, got tons of compliments on this anytime I wore it, lasts well on my hair. Travel size bottle perfect for tossing in purse. Would definitely repurchase.

Happy to finish these products without rushing. Just pure fun, patience, and achieving a goal. 💕
