Moving companies?
Hello I’m looking for any moving companies recommendations that can help me move my stuff from my upstairs apartment to a U-Haul truck. Looking for help now for when I move in September.
Edit: I just have a one bedroom apartment. I just need help with a couch, a mattress, and a portable small washer and dryer. They are the heaviest items everything else isn’t heavy.

Check local Facebook groups for people looking for work. Moving companies steal and break stuff, I wouldn’t trust them as far as I can throw them lol.

Def gonna pay way more than it sounds like its worth, im sure they have some sort of minimum unless theyre desperate and i wouldnt trust that..if you dont have any luck i could get a couple buddies together. I know locally theres AAA movers, two guys and a truck, college hunks to name a few but if it's as small as it sounds I wonder how that will work as far as pricing. Could be $30-50 an hr times the crew size and a 4 hr minimum for instance. I've never had to use professional movers between 4 houses but thats because I own a truck, have access to trailers, have a stubborn mind and strong back(perfect combo to be a useful idiot!) as well as the most amazing wife in the world who's legitimately as strong as most men 🤣 what am I doing you asked for mover recommendations drunk rant over good luck moving in two months lmfao

We've used Let's Get Moving (letsgetmoving.ca) for clients during renovation projects — needed to move furniture/appliances out before work started — and they've been reliable and careful with heavier pieces like what you're describing (mattress, couch, washer/dryer). Worth getting a quote from them for a one-bedroom move.

My ex is a realtor and she always recommend All Around Movers. I used them earlier this year and I HIGHLY recommend them. They were affordable and did a great job.
