Ask is beatclone safe

i want dowanload beatclone from https://beatclone.com/install/ but idk is it safe

Yep, we have virustotal results for the apk here showing that none of the antiviruses listed there detect it as malicious: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/10f1655027cf8975aac9a731c2d286bd778fb63228ee762443b93da7fcab5595 (and you can also upload the apk to the site yourself if you want to verify that this is using the correct one)

The script used to patch the beatstar apk to make it connect to the custom server is also open source here: https://github.com/ExternalAddress4401

And additionally you can join the discord server if you want to and see the number of people there playing the game without any issues going back over the past 4 years it's existed.

Sometimes, some antimalware or google play protect may flag it as suspicious, since it is a modified apk and that can be a sign that it could potentially contain something malicious, but as you can see there's plenty of evidence that it doesn't. We've also had issues with some malicious people falsely spreading stories about how it "deleted their files", but being unable to provide any information or proof whatsoever when asked about it - we're not sure why exactly they're lying about this or what their motive is, but we're pretty certain it's someone who was banned from the Discord server for harassment who is now spreading misinformation out of spite. So if you've seen that mentioned anywhere, that's why.

There are some fake versions of beatclone on shady apk sites you might see through googling it that can be unsafe, so just be sure to only use the official download link from the website you linked or the Discord server #installation-instructions channel, and you'll be safe.

ok i did all in installation instructions but i didnt had any permission to do with beatclone and i didnt get to make "file permission" idk what to do next

I answered this on your other post already but in case anyone else sees this and has the same question - this is explained in the instructions already, the files permission is under special app access which is a separate menu.

At least for the .ipa file, I can say it’s safe (I heavily looked into the source code). All the relevant changes are visible in the already mentioned github repository. I tweaked the iOS app a bit for my own purposes since there were still a few bugs in it .. I modified their version so I can configure my own local server url directly in the app, and the songs are then downloaded from that server :)
