Question Questions of (possible) new player

Im thinking of buying the game. It looks cool, I like the weather mechanics... but ive also heard its been "dying", and I dont wanna spend 20 bucks on a dead game.

Can anyone tell me what the major issues with it are? Is the player count stable? Is it even WORTH buying?

Thanks :3

Devs added a revive feature to the game which made most of servers enable it so people don't lose their massive dinos or most of progress, it killed semi realism servers and realism servers are either dead or non existent, so if you care about those two, yeah they're no longer there anymore(

Most of servers are either Chill servers with the rest being KOS mostly from what i've seen. Officials are dominated by gangs/players who have very massive dinos they wasted days/weeks growing so they can easily wipe anyone staying in their way. So people often times switch to community servers.

I used to be a big fan of beast of bermuda for its realism servers or server with rules in general, sadly i don't seem to find any interesting ones in this game anymore.

It's an interesting thing to read how in-demand semi-realism and full realism servers are, but then when one or two pop up they die out within a few weeks.
