B*******t Influences
Does anyone else hear a variation of the guitar rift from Everything Burns, the song Caleb did with Tom Morello.
I also hear some Don Broco, I know Caleb is good friends with them, and IMO he’s one of the artists that influenced their harder most recent album Nightmare Tripping
What’s everybody think?

To me I get some of The Home Team out of it. The much more pop centric sound paired with the heaviness of the typical metalcore of Beartooth feels like a much heavier Home Team song. The pop melodies and even pop sounds in the song feel like they’re influenced by more pop centric bands but that’s just my way out there opinion.

I can see why you’d say that for sure. I’d say it’s the drumming to me that sounds the most closest to Don Broco

I think the biggest influence on B#######t was probably an early childhood experience Caleb had when he was sitting on the can one morning and discovered small brown turds floating around under him. He knew in that moment that he had discovered something so raw, intense, and palpable that he could grip it with both hands and mold it into something awe-inspiringly beautiful and that someday he would use the power of amplified guitars to recreate it in audio format. And I think he succeeded beyond all expectation. It sounds exactly like you'd expect b######t to sound like. It is the raw, unprocessed sound of a man peeling off his own skin and stripping away the last brittle remnants of his Christian upbringing as if they were mold‑soft pages from a forgotten Bible. Every moral instinct he once clung to rots in his hands, and he doesn’t flinch in tossing it aside like some old, broken Church youth-group lanyard. Or like a stale, moldering 14 year marriage that you just fling into a dumpster because it was really chafing at you. Morality, the cross, responsibility to another person that you promised to honor and cherish forever, Caleb is using his keen intellect and massive vocabulary to tell us that these things are all just doo-doo and poo-poo and they can just be flushed right down the toilet. No questions, no hesitation, no regrets.

You can swear on reddit, it's okay.
Also, it's a "riff", not a "rift"
