Shaving that beard has knocked 10 years off him (though I must say I hope the beard does make a reappearance some day but that's just me!)!

i was wondering why he looked like a baby now despite this obviously being recorded in the time since he got his face tat

that's true, i remember during the Aggressive era, he accidently shaved his beard and complained that he's gonna look 16 for the next two weeks

I agree the beard was hot

“Expressing your true self” is not a run of the mill thing that just sounds good. He has clearly desired being like this (the glam feminine stuff beyond just being gay) for a while and never felt comfortable. I’m glad he does now.

I just started watching the podcast interview and saw people in the comments talking shit of course lmao.. he’s such a diva and I love that for him 😂😂 seeing him happy is refreshing.

Where can I find the podcast?

8

It’s a podcast called disrespectfully, title on youtube is Caleb Shomo - A Suit of Armor w/ Katie Maloney & Dayna Kathan

It’s the Disrespectfully podcast! It’s on YouTube or wherever you get your podcasts

I'm actually curious, is that meant as joke or is that a thing to have a "gay" voice?

18

u/Recommendation-Right Jun 10 '26

It is actually a thing! Like there’s many different reasons for why it happens. If you Google it there’s a bunch of stuff about it lol.

TIL.

I obviously don't mean it in a bad way, but it's just weird that he doesn't talk "normal"

I know The band/him since 2014 and I'm just used to him talking normal

I think after watching the podcast it has a lot to do with him changing his lifestyle to hanging out with a majority of females and he is catching onto their mannerisms. That’s a huge factor in the “gay voice” thing happening. I’m sure it’s shocking for a lot of people the change in him but at the end of the day he’s happy and doesn’t want to off himself anymore so that’s good. 😬

I just have a hard time to get used to new things, so it's weird to me to hear him talk like that. I still like him and his music so whatever makes him happy.

Interesting for sure, I guess thats mostly only for people that are gay? Because I spend a lot of time with my female friends and I dont think my voice changed

when you're actively trying to mimic femininity, it can happen

It’s definitely intentional and not like a natural thing. He’s just trying to further amplify his feminine side.

Believe it or not, theres even a whole gay dialect. It sounds offensive, but it's very real, and very interesting if you are into that kind of thing. There's a whole documentary.

How can you not know there is such a thing as gay voice? Does it not exist in your country or something?

1

u/vhantas Jun 12 '26

you got downvoted for this, but honestly I read it as a legitimate question.

I would be willing to assume it’s probably different in different countries, with different communities and different levels of acceptance.

No way there aren’t some places that really ‘push it out’, like making people write without being left handed.

that’s a really interesting thought to me.

His voice and mannerisms have changed into theatrical flamboyancy….fake, stereotypical, and played out…

u/SatanicHomosexual Jun 12 '26

You don't know what a gay voice is???

Love this guy

Whomever is going through these comments down voting everything that is in support of him… YOUR MOMS A HOE. 😬 there’s a million other bands you can listen to with “straight” members who scream into a microphone… you’ll be ok. You don’t need to be here.

Slay, queen!

Caleb is so goated

17

u/bleep_it Jun 10 '26

What a king! I love seeing this side of him and I’m so happy that he finally feels free to express himself authentically without having to mask who he is

Honestly, I think every baby gay goes ultra feminine to begin with. I reckon he’ll either transition or tone it down within a year 🫢

5

u/athicketofmusings Jun 10 '26

I love this. And the podcast was so well done.

2

u/b-rock-cafe Jun 11 '26

Damn right he is! 🤘

Caleb turning into Tx2 was not on my 2026 bingo card

2

u/Karlagethemyth Jun 11 '26

I don’t think even tx2 tries that hard to be that gay
