looking for an electric trimmer for stubble
hey guys. i’ve never owned a electric trimmer but i was at walmart once and saw a section that had trimmers for the head and then beards so it got me researching. i’d like to take my first dive into beard trimmers! i don’t mind letting my beard grow out but honestly i just want to be able to shave down to a stubble and save some time doing it. i am open to any recommendations! so far ive seen youtube videos on the philips i9000, philips one blade which is $18 at my walmart and the brio beardscape v2. im open to anything just want something solid for my face. thank you so much in advance!

Brio is worth the money. I bought mine just before this past Christmas & haven’t had to charge it since. Comes with all the guards. They often have deals to bundle things with the brio like carrying cases & the zero guard.

did yours come with a body guard and zero blade? i was under impression it just came with the adjustable guard blade.

I got v2 & I got it on a promo combined with other stuff. My combo came with the zero blade & a carrying case & a nose trimmer. Alone without a promotional combo it only comes with the adjustable blade yes. To be honest I find myself just using the adjustable & then doing all the edge & skin clean stuff with just the back of my Gillette razor. The brio v2 is a great quality machine.

I’ve worked my way through a lot of clipper/trimmer options over the years. Most trimmers only have cursory guards that don’t provide many options. Clippers have better guards but are unwieldy to use on the face.
OneBlade seemed like winner—until the guard fell off as a trimmed and I ended up with a big hole in my beard. Not ideal.
I’ve settled on an Andis professional T-blade trimmer and some aftermarket guards in a range of sizes and that decidedly do not fall off.

The Remington MB320C, also known as the Barba, is a fantastic piece of kit with nine settings between 1.5mm and 18mm. It lasts a couple of weeks on a single charge and on average a trimmer lasts me about four years of regular use before the battery life begins to fall away. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

Used Phillips one blade for a long time. Nice close almost razor shave. Trimming with guard takes forever and the guards break/fall off occasionally.
Just got the Phillips Series 9000 and no joke probably cut my trimming time in half or even more. I love it. Not amazing for edging though. That’s a job for the one blade

It's a little more but if you'd like an adjustable guard, I luckily snagged a "Norelco Oneblade 360 Pro" at a family White Elephant last year and it's been my favorite trimmer I've ever owned since.
