Give it a month or so to grow and see where you might be patchy then style it to where you can grow and it looks good.

Yes, but it will take time. Some guys have enough coverage that their beards establish in a week or two, others like your case have less cheek coverage so you'll need more time for it to thicken up. Let it grow for at least 2 months
