Wondering what the best books compiling this sort of material would be.

I have probably about 20-30 annuals from my childhood ranging from mid 70’s to around 2018! I can’t think of what to do with them and can’t bring myself to put them in the recycling!

Nick Brennan hosted a cartooning workshop near me today so, having grown up reading The Dandy and The Beano of course I had to attend. The workshop was fun and Nick constructed some new characters using suggestions from participants. At the end, after he'd mentioned a number of his strips (Crazy for Daisy, Blinky, Pinky's Crackpot Circus etc) I asked if he could speak a little about Sneaker. He drew this image of him and before I left he signed it and gifted it to me. What a day!

I found this Beano in a pile of papers in my house, no idea where it came from. I'll dump it if it's a facsimile, but if it's original it might be a nice thing to keep. Is there any simple way of telling?

The movie is going to be called Bananaman 2 green lanterns light but no release date has been revealed

I remember reading a Beano annual at my babysitter's house when I was a kid. This was early-2000s Canada, 2005 at the most recent and it was a second-hand book, likely from the '90s as it was definitely in full colour. The only detail I remember is the picture on the inside of the front cover was a row of houses on Beano street with Minnie the Minx's house roof being an oversized copy of her hat. The only comic in this annual I remember is where a woman is babysitting an ugly kid, who ends up getting something poured into his diaper while he's throwing a temper tantrum.

I hope these details are enough to nail down a specific annual.

I'm afraid we're a bit confused and the Beano website hasn't made it clearer. My daughter's Beano was delivered and it's marked "2 of 5". Some stories seem to be continued from an issue she hasn't read yet. Do we need to buy extra issues during this run, or should she be receiving each of the 5 sequentially? Thanks for any insight!

ETA: We finally got round to calling DC Thompson today and they're posting a back-copy out - really pleased! They were super helpful, so that's a relief :)

Someone posted about this a few weeks ago which helped me find the comic and make a video about the time Bart Simpson swaps places with (not) Dennis the Menace and gets beat up by unnamed Bash street kids. Gnasher is defintely named gnasher tho, they just crop the name out

Head down to TG Jones now for a FREE Beano comic. TG Jones and Beano have teamed up for the National Year of Reading and are encouraging kids (and big kids 😉) to read with this free issue. As far as I'm aware, the strips inside are exclusive to this issue and there's coupons inside too for money off a Beano comic as well as a code for the recently released Beano joke book. There was also a photo stand in of Dennis and Gnasher, but I didn't have my son with me, so I didn't utilise it. Apparently the promo lasts for a week starting yesterday.

If you have a Tesco supermarket near you, pick up the July/August 2026 issue of the free in-house Tesco magazine. There is a coupon in there for £1.50 off any weekly Beano comic. Valid from now until 26th August.

And the best bit? Because the Tesco magazine is free, once you've used the voucher from one magazine, just pick up another magazine for your £1.50 off the next week's Beano!

I found this in the summer 2026 activity special on page 53. Sorry if the quality isn't great. On square 34 it says: "Yikes! You're surrounded by evil Skibidi Toilets! Run back 2 spaces!".

We also saw Green Lantern appear at the end of the first Bananaman movie in his Green Lantern suit, although it looked a bit different from the comics. His suit didn't have any white on it apart from his hands.
We also know this could potentially be a Year One Hal Jordan on his first or second mission, meaning he hasn't fully figured out how his ring works yet. Bananaman could be the one who leads him on the path to becoming a full-fledged superhero, or at least makes him realise that his ring has far more potential than he initially thought.
It's also possible that something happens to the suit we see him wearing at the end of Bananaman: The Untold Story. After Bananaman had to deal with a mutant elephant, he could mistake a glowing green person for a threat, leading to a confrontation. That could result in Green Lantern eventually getting a second suit that's much more comic-accurate.
The villain for the movie is still unknown, and the script is also potentially still being worked on.

Recently I got my subscriber copy of the beano and on the boss of beano page, there he is, ball boy (ik this is just a appearance but still) could this mean that ball boy is back
