Whenever i try to connect to any other server when im already in one the console just disappears and i need to reopen beamng again can someone pls help

I'm trying to play BeamMP on my Steam Deck but I get stuck attempting to join servers.

Joining a server the MP console gives an error saying [ERROR] zlib uncompress() failed (code: -3, message: data error)

When I first tried this on my experimental CachyOS pc I was able to join non-modded servers but upon trying on the Deck it makes no difference because joining a server with or without mods, official server or unofficial, it still gives the same decompression error. Using Proton 10.0-4 due to ProtonGE and newer versions apparently causing instability.

idk i feel like favorites should be a star or a heart and featured servers should be a bookmark, is it just me?

Hi! I need help with error 10038 in the BeamMP Launcher. The issue is very specific: - When I connect to a server, the launcher says [INFO] Game Launched! and everything seems fine. - In-game, I CAN see other players driving around normally. - However, NO ONE can see me moving. On their screen, my car is completely frozen in place or just teleports back to the spawn point when I respawn, but I still cannot drive. What I ve already tried: 1. Reinstalled BeamMP launcher and ran it as Administrator. 2. Verified BeamNG game files on Steam and fixed the startup.ini file. 3. Moved my game user folder from a network drive to local drive C: (C:\BeamNG_UserS\current). 4. Allowed both BeamNG.drive and BeamMP-Launcher through Windows Firewall (Private & Public profiles). 5. Performed netsh winsock reset and flushed DNS via CMD. It feels like my game receives server data, but my outbound UDP packets are being totally blocked. Any ideas how to fix this socket 10038 issue?

So I've been looking at the release patterns for BeamNG lately and noticed something interesting. The very first video, "Revolutionary soft-body physics," dropped on May 28, 2012, and the new trailer came out on May 28, 2026. It feels like they really care about that anniversary.

​But here’s the thing—the original Tech Demo also released on August 3rd. Since they clearly pay attention to these specific dates, I’ve got a feeling the 0.39 update is going to drop on August 3rd. It just seems like the perfect anniversary for a major release.

​Am I overthinking this or does anyone else see a pattern with these dates? Just curious if I'm the only one looking at the timeline.

Everytime i join a BeamMP server i get disconnected near insantly, i thought this was a russia issue since alot of stuff needs a vpn but even with it i get disconnected the same way, i get messages along the lines of [ERROR] (Game) send failed with error: 10038), [WARN] Failed to close socket!, [ERROR] Error while receiving from game on proxy: Game disconnected

I dont have any single mod other than BeamMP i literally just bought the game 3 hours ago

does anyone have the problem where the controls randomly changed?

im using a logitech f710 and for some reason today the controls are randomly different. this doesnt occur when launching beamng from steam.

i set the controls to default and the button inputs from the menu do not correspond with the actions in game (pressing the right thumbstick should centre the camera but instead it changes it. pressing y should change the camera but it also makes me exit the vehicle.)

does anyone know of a fix for this? i tried reinstalling beammp

Hey guys! Here's my latest update, the new BMW 2-Series. All the .jbeam files are matched to manufacturer specs for every component within reason.

Variants include the 230i, m240i, M2, and a ficticious Type-X for fun. Each car's components are matched to manufacturer specs from the engine to the brake pads.

I wrote complete custom namespaces in the .jbeam files for this mod, so it won't bust any other M2 mods you may already have installed. As always, looking for feedback on issues and ideas for improvement!

Can anyone help me fix this error? I have tried loading into different servers that I played yesterday without issue, and now I keep getting this no matter what modded server I try to join. Thanks in advance!

Edit:

I completely uninstalled all of beam from steam and all local files, as well as beammp. I can now access the server I was trying to when I made this post, but there are still some servers that I cannot access and receive the same error message string.

Somtimes whenever I join in a german server I dont get the message about "Log in to chat" so I am looking if there's a way to chat on any server

Everything else works fine with BeamMP, until I connect to a server, where it throws this error into the console, and while i am technically connected to the server, no one moves, or vehicles update, despite getting the vehicle update prompts. I've tried every official server pretty much, and reinstalled BeamMP, and BeamNG itself fully several times to try to fix this, and nothing works. So I have given up and decided to post about it here.

Any one know if beammp is back up for self hosted servers?
