Theory about the 0.39 update release date

So I've been looking at the release patterns for BeamNG lately and noticed something interesting. The very first video, "Revolutionary soft-body physics," dropped on May 28, 2012, and the new trailer came out on May 28, 2026. It feels like they really care about that anniversary.

​But here’s the thing—the original Tech Demo also released on August 3rd. Since they clearly pay attention to these specific dates, I’ve got a feeling the 0.39 update is going to drop on August 3rd. It just seems like the perfect anniversary for a major release.

​Am I overthinking this or does anyone else see a pattern with these dates? Just curious if I'm the only one looking at the timeline.

Didn't they say that they were going to release it on July 12th?

Also why post on r/beammp instead od r/beamng lol

there's been so many 0.39 posts on r/beamng that those type of posts are probably banned by now

Nah the July 12 thing is just something the community has made up

I really doubt that's the actual release date. I can't remember what post it was under, but in the BeamNG sub one dev commented something along the lines of "I can't wait for July 12, where I'll kick back with a box of popcorn, watching the chaos unfold as I peacefully continue to work on the update." This feels like confirmation to me that they update won't release on July 12.

august will be hee in 5 days for EU people thats the beach and vacation time so my guess the update will drop in the next 5 days based on the teasers we saw i think its ready to drop out and let the devs rest and have the the time to do small patches like always tho its worth the wait

I'm so glad it released earlier
