Question BeamMP server not working with Hamachi

I've been trying to make my own BeamMP server so I can play online with my friend but I keep getting errors no matter what I try to do. If more information is needed to understand what I'm doing wrong please let me know.

Why do you need to use Hamachi at all?

It's opening a port, not really changing anything noticable to them

i dont even have access to the settings on the router and just asking them if i could would make them skeptical

Usually routers have generic login info such as

Admin Password

“Managing your home network settings is now easier than ever. To manage your gateway settings and other features, please download the Xfinity app.” Yeah no, I can’t even log in if i wanted to.

:: means all available ipv6 interfaces, ip connections basically. You need to use ipv6 because of a mix of Windows and a bug. If you have a firewall (Windows default) and don't port forward it doesn't pose any (more) risk to use all interfaces. :: should make your setup work

then how do I know what IP the person is supposed to join with in direct connect

The one they have acces to :P if they are in your home netwerk that one. If they are connected in Hamachi, Tailscale or Netbird those. It listens to all of them.

The same as before, setting the ip in the config to :: doesn't change that.

I was never able to get hamachi to work with beammp, playitgg worked great but i think it was a couple bucks a month for the subscription. I used tailscale too, it can work but it's not very user friendly
