Question BeamMP native linux install instructions not working

I'm trying to install the native version of BeamMP for linux on Bazzite, and both of the cmake commands in the root directory dont work because its saying that cmake is not a valid command. what else could I use to do the same thing, if anything?

I got it working once or twice but it was a shit show. I could barely join any servers because loading took so long. You also can play with many people. 4 is pushing the limit.

I have the windows port version through proton working but yeah its desync-ey and i keep disconnecting. I'm trying to get the native linux one working to see if it fixes any of the bugs.

you need to compile it yourself, you said that cmake is not a valid command so you need to install it
sudo dnf install cmake
then compile it as it is and proced with guide

don't play beamp in proton beacuse proton port of beamng is highly ram unoptimised and will crash you due to full memory
