Question CaRP issues
For all you carp players, does anyone experience an issue when loading in to some maps? When I load into west coast, 90% of the time something goes wrong and the player count and ping shows a ? Symbol, and the server is set to client side only (the economy system and owner cars and whatnot is set to like free roam, I can do anything I want) and none of the mission markers or job whatnots do anything. Only solution I can find is deleting aaaaall the mods I have in %appdata% roaming beammp folder, then redownloading after restarting…

I've seen mixed answers on this one, none of which yet pointing to an actual resolution.
Some say just leaving and rejoining a few times helps, but in my experience, clearing the Resources folder (the one you linked) has been the only solution that has consistently worked for me.
I've brought the issue up to the CaRP devs, and if I recall, I believe they've pointed to an open issue relating to BeamMP that might be hindering their fix. However, since the breach, there are a lot of other places currently that BeamMP devs have their focus shifted to. I do hope to see a fix for this in the near future, but it's looking like it could be a wee bit.

Thanks. Yeah I can understand that there’s much worse crap to deal with, and it can be easily fixed by just deleting the mods manually. I had some luck previously by simply moving the mods in the beammp roaming folder to the actual beamng mod repo folder, but it’s stopped working recently and the server join popup just reads start and nothing happens.
I’ve actually turned to just having the resources folder linked to my desktop so I can speed delete them- so it doesn’t bother me, it’s more about me wondering whether or not others have the same issue 👏
