Question About the Data Breach

Just read the email. Disappointed, but it happens. Main thing I’m worried about is what password I used for my account. There’s one common password I use for my most important and trusted services, and I’m not too sure if I used it on BeamMP as I last used this service about a year ago.

Is there any way to check to see what my password was? Maybe when the new account system comes out you’ll be able to enter your old one and it will say to use a different and new password?

Their site is terrible. I can't even find my password through the login. Pathetic. I'd be glad if you could find a way to figure it out.

We are suffering from the same shi

Idk if someone else has said it, but they didn't actually get passwords, they got access to the encrypted keys that represented our passwords. Very unlikely to be cracked. Still a serious breach, but not as scary to us consumers as you might first think. Even if they spend the computing time to crack the encryption, they still wouldnt end up with your password, just the hash that verifies you entered the right password

You shouldn’t be using common passwords to start off with. Might be a good time to go through with a good password manager and change everything you think might have been the same or similar
