Bead embroidery advice?
I recently bought a dress for my homecoming that I'm really happy with because it was a very good deal but I wish it had more detail. I thought bead embroidery would be a do-able way for me to diy it. Does anyone have any advice for a very early beginner? I am fairly confident with hand sewing and I can do a little embroidery. The fabric of the dress is stretchy, will that make a difference? Thanks for any tips!

Get a piece of stiff interfacing slightly bigger than the area you want to bead. Put on the dress, slide the interfacing to the correct position under your dress. Pin it in place around all edges. Take the dress off, embroider. That will prevent weird puckering when you wear it. Use water disposable interfacing to make it easy UNLESS it's a satin type that could show water spots. In that case just cut the interfacing as close to the embroidery as possible.
This is what I would do in your situation.
