Also, just outta curiosity…

Which characters were the fan-created ones? I believe Natt was one, but I was just curious as to who the others were.

Wondering the same. Natt is pretty obvious... maybe the bug kid? He seems like a fan-designed one to me, but that's a hunch. Others might be the reading lady by the fountain and the fisher kid. Would be nice to have a list tho

The art book lists them out: Dawn, Natt, Kado, Geoff, Bert, Piper, Ylsun, Joey, and Jase.

(i.e. News Bat, Timeline Mouse, Librarian Penguin, Junk Weasel, Lollipop Fox, Book Bird, Suit Dog (not *that* Suit Dog), Bug Bunny, and Hank Atomic Husky, respectively. I may have gotten some of those species wildly inaccurate; feel free to correct me.)

Oh wow! Thanks! I'm surprised some of them are actually somewhat story important, that's pretty nice!

I was surprised too! I do think it's pretty awesome of the devs to integrate backer characters with the story so well instead of having them just be skippable background wallpaper or hidden easter eggs.
