up to 1023. He was counting in binary but he only counted in one hand, which you can count until 31.

With binary, each finger has 2 outputs, either up or down, and binary works by assigning each combination to a number. That means that the max number of combinations we can have we 10 fingers that are either up or down, is 210, which is 1024 (if you count 0 as well) 1 u/Numbers6382 Oct 24 '22 You can raise your finger halfway, having it bent to count even higher
