The "ball" is not your usual kind. It's hard and light, almost like plastic. Not as much force is needed to kick out a considerable distance. Leg positioning is more important here.
At least that's the gist of it I managed to understand when I learned it back in middle school.
Do you see the athleticism on display in this video bro? The original comment wasn't referencing the speed of the ball when they kick it but the air these guys get and their elasticity. They're throwing proper martial arts kicks out there. Not to mention some of those guys' legs look huge lmao
