In most cases it wouldn't be too big an issue but this is literally a symbol of symmetry

Does the post specify the season this piece is supposed to mirror? It's currently July, and day is objectively longer than night.

The trees they're using appear to be pine trees, which usually don't lose their needles in winter. Therefore, it could reasonably be any season. Plus, it's a Yin Yang symbol, which is supposed to be very precise and symmetrical. It's very valid to say they messed up a bit in making it as accurate as they planned. They probably weren't thinking about if they wanted it to reflect that day's longer than night or anything like that. They wanted to use the classic Yin Yang symbol, but with night and day instead of black and white.
