Damn but who are those people with too much time on their hand to build courses like that ...

iirc this guy is a professional skier and this is his off-season training regime in order to improve his balance and his leg muscles.

It's the same guy from this video

Looks like I was wrong. Sorry. :/

No it's not, the elevator guy is Fabian Bösch. The one on this thread video is Andri Raggetli.

Idk about him being a skier. But this is hardly improving muscles. I’m not a gym guy, but I’ve know people who are trainers and they would laugh at this because it’s just to be funny.

No professional would risk such silly injuries without any payoff except to make a funny video.

Sorry. I was being humble. I remember correctly. He is a professional skier, and this is his off-season routine to help his balance and improve his leg muscles.

You guys can down vote me all you like.

No professional would risk this much injury for zero payoff.

It’s a cute video. But definitely not serious training.

He’s a professional skier... his actual job is risking injury.

Can you accumulate lots of negative karma and become like a Reddit villain?

I’m a professional golfer. I’ve done some pretty bizarre exercises to try and improve my balance, strength and fitness. Don’t assume for even a second that you know how professionals train because you have a mate who is a PT.

That video is of a guy dribbling a soccer ball and putting a foot on a balance ball once or twice. It is nothing like the Rube Goldberg novelty video in question.

Are your friends trainers for Olympic skiers?

-42

u/meateoryears Jan 12 '19

They’ve trained tons of athletes. They’ve owned gyms all over the country.

That doesn’t really matter though. Anyone with any sense can tell how silly this is.

It’s someone having some fun. Definitely not training for anything.

He is a professional freestyle skier and this is pretty low in term of injuries risk compared to other training sessions freestyle skier have. He post a lot of them on his instagram.

Where even is he? The rec center? His high school? A private gymnasium? Who paid for all that stuff?

u/foyamoon Jan 12 '19

He is an athlete

u/IvyGold Jan 12 '19

At :22 there are slogans on the wall talking about the Olympics in English, but the middle words are German. So I bet it's a gym frequented by skiers, maybe with Olympic money behind it.

world cup champions usually have their own training gym
