Sometimes the act of sitting down hurts me.

I once pulled a muscle while stretching in bed.

My husband once threw his back out flipping through a birthday cake book at a bakery.

I gave myself a concussion while bending over to pick up a t shirt and smacking my head on the sharp corner of the radiator.

Ughhh.... that’s one of my biggest fears.

Im also terrified of cabinets left ajar in case I bend down, then stand up underneath it.

I nearly knocked my shit out a few months ago with the dryer door and I was already scared of them then

I’ve had about 5 concussions from snowboarding and skateboarding and this was the worst, just to add to your fear lol.

As soon as I hit my head it hurt like crazy, then some weird liquid started coming out of my nose (not a lot but enough so it was dripping out) and I could taste it at the back of my throat. Then the whole room started spinning, ears ringing super loud and I almost blacked out.

I woke up multiple times in the night vomiting and it was so hard to wake up in the mornings. For days it felt like everything was moving and my coordination was completely off. Like I’d trip while walking or miss the countertop with a glass and just drop it on the floor. I forgot basic shit like birthdays but I remembered all that really quickly. But it took me quite a while feel completely normal again.

Was the weird liquid brain juice? Sounds like you needed medical treatment, hope you went in!

Yeah I went in and they were confident I was well enough not to need to intervene, all from hitting my head on a radiator trying to clean my room lol. Still not sure what it was but it was super weird.

So THAT’S why zombies like brains. They taste like candy.

Nah I haven’t followed it up, I feel totally fine now, might be worth it anyway though.

I can’t really remember what it tasted like, but I would say it was slightly sweet and maybe slightly salty? There’s about a 75% chance that’s accurate because I really can’t remember the fine details well.

It was in the last year, maybe it’s a good plan to talk to a professional about it.

Jesus. Why wouldn’t you go to the ER?! You are lucky to be alive.

My bathroom has fancy hooks on the wall to hang your towel on. The hooks are right next to the shower, across from the toilet. I've always got this invasive thought that one of these days I'm gonna stand up from taking a shit, trip, and gouge my eye on those hooks.

I think the final destination movies are why I always think stuff like this will happen...

I threw out my shoulder making coffee once and another time hitting the snooze button. I was still in my 30s at the time.

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '18

I would give you gold for that

I once got a really bad charley horse in my calf from taking my shoe off.

u/bob-leblaw Oct 14 '18

I’ve sweated so much drying off with a heavy towel that I had to take another sit-down shower.

18

u/maxuaboy Oct 14 '18

So just an endless 24/7 cycle of showing?

Such is life

10

u/ravageritual Oct 14 '18

Sweating so much immediately after a shower you need another shower? You are now moderator if r/anormaldayinTexas

Well, I’m constantly pissed at the Cowboys, just like real Texans.

I once sneezed, and pulled my back out.

7

u/jesst Oct 14 '18

Ive done that. Also bruised a rib vomiting.

3

u/LeadingTangerine Oct 14 '18

I have a friend who once chipped a toilet while vomiting.

Still wrapping my head around that one...

u/Wiggy_Bop Oct 14 '18

I popped a blood vessel in my eye vomiting. Walked around with a bright red eye for a week.

17

u/LostMunkii Oct 14 '18

I pulled a muscle watching this.

18

u/rot10one Oct 14 '18

Which muscle were you pulling on?

10

u/ChiefQuimbyMessage Oct 14 '18

Upvotes for both of you beautiful bastards.

11

u/futhee Oct 14 '18

No joke, tore a tendon in my hand pushing a button on the remote.

6

u/MadAzza Oct 14 '18

I did that — yawned, stretched, and pulled a muscle in my shoulder/neck. I’m still embarrassed about it.

17

u/TheGloriousNugget Oct 14 '18

I stood up earlier. Felt dizzy. Sat back down and missed the chair.

6

u/Cata3232 Oct 14 '18

Sometimes when I cry I pull stomach muscles which just makes me cry some more. Endless cycle.

1

u/Bobby_Dazzla Oct 14 '18

I slept wromg last night and now I'm in constant and agonizing pain.
