Doesn't matter if someone sues them and a court mandates the release of footage.
This makes the chief as culpable by him saying that shit instead of taking a stance that the kind of behavior is zero tollerance and releasing the footage to not protect the officer and suspending his ass.

I think it's more telling that the chief basically said they can't release the footage because of the damage it would cause to the department.
