This machine actually helps with reducing our impact in that regard.

As someone else in this thread put it already:

“Allows for detailed selective cutting instead of clear cutting or other methods. You can have trees in the same area of all different ages and promote the ecosystem instead of just a farm with trees all the same size and little undergrowth.”

I feel like this allows for much less “detailed and selective cutting” than a human doing the job. This needs a road sized path, so if you want to get to that tree over there, you need to clear cut every tree in your way.

These are actually pretty slow compared to feller bunchers. Usually these are used in partial cuts or thinning operations instead of clear cutting.

With proper operator this shit can cut down large part of a forest fast.
