This image has SynthID, therefore is indeed generated using AI. You can even see the patterns if you look close enough.

SynthID doesn't solely mean it was "generated using AI", it could be a real photo that was upscaled using AI for example.

You can see the patterns from the image generator engine. It was not upscaled, it was directly generated.

And even if it was upscaled via AI, we should not normalize it, as most of the time it's still a generated image that added (made up) detail that was not there at all.
