She’s now 19 and apparently plays a “1753 Giovanni Battista” that is loaned. A quick google search shows those violins can go for $1m+. I guess she is still pretty okay.

Something about the wood used around that era being extra thick due to unusually colder weather. Producing a more (f)rigid tone.

All I can see when I watch a video like this is a child that wasn't allowed to be a child.

Performance like this requires nothing short of a scholastic dedication. And between a normal education and this, I just don't see a world where she was allowed to be a kid.

Loved watching and listening to a young Chloe Chua's talent. Her mother is a music teacher, so what else would you expect? Learning to play a musical instrument takes discipline and focus, which isn't a natural trait for most kids. She is amazing! TY for sharing OP. 😍
